of cooking and the wonderment of gardening together for children
ages 5 to 9. All season long kids will tend and explore
our new kitchen garden while learning how to incorporate the
fruits of their labor into their cooking. We’ll grow a wide
variety of herbs and vegetables and will learn the many uses of
all the wonderful things that can grow right outside our back
door. Produce from Coonamessett Farm will also be utilized as
children learn where their food comes from and how it is grown.
At summer’s end all children who have participated in the
summer program will be invited back for an end of the season
harvest picnic.
