Celebrating our Heritage from the Printmakers of Cape Cod
First organized as the "Printmakers" in 1976, this group of local artists was small and centered on the lower cape. Today the Printmakers of Cape Cod include more than 100 members from throughout the region who produce original hand-pulled art prints, including monotypes, collographs, solar prints, gelatin prints, etchings, and more. Many of the artists are also members of the Monotype Guild of New England. While some artists maintain their own studios, others are on the faculty of local and regional art centers. This exhibit is the second stop on the 2008 Printmakers Trail, a series of four major exhibits on Cape Cod. Future shows will be at Provincetown Art Association and Museum and Falmouth Artsits Guild.
