The
Music at the Mansion Series
at Historic Highfield presents chamber music
performed by an array of exceptional musical artists based in
the New England states. With repertoire spanning centuries and
representing lesser-known composers as well as the more famous,
the intention of the series is to delight our audiences with
music composed for more than one part. We welcome you to our
intimate and acoustically sensitive hall for an inaugural season
crafted to bring you pleasure and heightened musical
appreciation. See concert dates and descriptions below. Tickets
are $25 per person and are available by calling 508-495-1878 or
using the link at the bottom of the page. All concerts are
on Sundays at 4:00 pm.
For many people, an intellectual
perspective on music enhances listening; knowing what to listen
for provides greater enjoyment. Highfield Hall’s new
lecture/recital series, Musical
Notes, is designed to refresh your current knowledge
while giving you new and unique information on instruments,
style and philosophical concepts. The format is simple:
provocative words by knowledgeable lecturers followed by
stimulating music, most often live performances by seasoned
artists. Teas, coffee and cakes are complimentary. Tickets are
$15 per person and are available by calling 508-495-1878 or
using the link at the bottom of the page. All concerts are on
Thursdays from 11 am to 1 pm. See dates and descriptions below.
