Inkwell Literary Series: Leviathan, the History of Whaling with Eric Jay Dolin
In his fascinating and fact-filled book, Mr. Dolin has chronicled the story of American whalers from Captain John Smith to the pitiful last voyage of the "Wanderer" out of New Bedford in 1924. Americans were the greatest whalers in the world, and Mr. Dolin details their search for this natural resource from our own shores to the four corners of the world.
