Ancient Landscapes: The Spirit of Place

Anne Mavor’s paintings express a tender and deep bond between humans and place.  Her Mounds and Stones series, featured in this exhibition, was inspired by her late father, James W. Mavor, Jr., an astro-archeologist, who traveled the world documenting the connections between the land and sky at ancient sacred sites. The paintings celebrate home, place, family and heritage.
